A Five Star Library!
A couple of weeks back, Mrs. Alisa McLeod and Mrs. Jennifer Thompson from the Orange Beach Library came and spoke to Mrs. Webb's Advanced Literature classes about their new helpful websites and the library overall. The library also has many activities for children, and adults, to do. They have scheduled events in the summer. They have activities like karaoke, creating a magazine, movies, and more! One of the websites Mrs. Patsy and Mrs. Jennifer told the students about is CamelliaNet. It is a website that allows students or anyone looking for a book, to search it. It also allows a person to download books and media on to his or her MP3 player.

The library also has another resource to help students called, ‘Live Homework Help' which is available Sunday through Thursday at the hours of 3:00 to 10:00 p.m. The site helps students from Free Tutoring, Math, Science, Social Studies, English Grades K3-12, College Intro, and Adult Learner. They even have programs to help study for the ACT's, SAT's, ARMT, and OLSAT. Or if you prefer you can go to the library and they will gladly help you with any homework or research paper you may have.
Eighth grader, Kali Templeton said, "The Orange Beach Library has big selections of good books! They have amazing movies, and the librarians are super nice!" Morgan Lindsey, also and 8th grader, said," I am a volunteer at the Orange Beach Library. Volunteering at the library gives good experience with computers and kids. It's a good way to work in a library! The librarians were very nice. The websites are a great way to find books and research!"
